Kent Coach & Athlete Development Day 2
Day 2 is almost upon us and will be held once again at Canterbury High School on December 6th 2009 from 10-15.30.
The focus for the day is event specific Strength & Conditioning for both athletes and coaches. Each event group will partake in an hours session delivered by Mark Chapman and supported by the event coaches.
It is felt that S&C requires more attention to ensure athletes are conditioned adequately for the demands of their event. Failure to accomplish adequate S&C leads to many problems including injury, inefficiency, drop or plateau in performance and associated psychological barriers that go with aspects of decline in certain areas.
The format for the day is as follows. For more specific information on your event coaching.
Please note: Event coaches will be taking registration for their groups so no long queues this time! Please go direct to the sportshall on arrival unless you need to speak with me. Start time is 10am prompt, we have a tight schedule for the day so please do not be late. If you would like to order food during your extended lunch hour please notify the cafe so as they can keep with demand within a sensible time frame.
